Important Notes

Spring Season has begun, Teams have played their first of 10 season games and have participated in the Mililani Makahiki or Windward Classic tournaments.

Good luck to all the teams!

  • U10 heading and slide tackling banned.  The Region Board has decided that, for U10, both heading and slide tackling constitutes dangerous play.  Coaches, please do not teach or allow your players to do either.  Referees, you should treat either as a foul.  Player development is important, so as is standard in U10 (see Regional Guidelines),  warnings and counseling may be used for the initial infraction.
  • U10 goalkeeper requirement.  In U10, a player can only play once (one period) in goal per game.  That means each team needs to rotate through 4 goalies per game.  This is not optional.  Please read the Region U10 Guidelines for further information.
  • AYSO Intermediate and Advanced Coaches Clinic.  There is an upcoming clinic in November after the season.  There is a $25 fee.  Please find the application under Clinics at left.
  • New Region calendar available.  Look under Documents at left.

>> Our region often has coaching and referring clinics <<
Please click Clinics here or on the menu to the left to find out when and where.

Here is a note from our regional coach administrator....

"Some of you may not have any aspirations to coach beyond the Fall Season and may think the trainings are not applicable to you.  It is worth the investment to be the very best coach you can be, so you can be positive, encouraging, and offer the best instruction possible so our keiki learn the game, love the game, and grow up living the game due to the great experience they received from YOU, Coach!  I encourage my players to be lifelong students, always looking to learn something new; and I want to live that way also, so wherever you're at in your coaching experience, the upcoming trainings are great avenues to pick up new things so you can continue to inspire your players to grow on and off the field!"
